(ATR) Jacqueline Barrett will play an important role in the upcoming race for the 2022 Olympics as director of bid city relations for the IOC.
Now in her 31st year at the IOC, the U.K. native is one of the most senior members of the staff at Vidy, serving in the administrations of three presidents.
Barrett and her staff will be organizing the observer program in Sochi for the six applicant cities for 2022. Her office will handle questions from the cities as they prepare their dossiers for the first round of the contest. In July, when the IOC cuts the field to a group of finalists, Barrett will get involved with the organization of the visits to the bid cities by the still-to-be-named Evaluation Commission in early 2015.
