BOC celebrates Bahrain Women's Day

The Bahrain Olympic Committee recently celebrated the annual Bahrain Women’s Day by honoring its staff members yesterday.

The function took place at the BOC premises in Seef District, in the presence of Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, committee member and President of the BOC Women's Sport Committee.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Shaikha Hayat gave a speech in which she praised the efforts of the committee employees, their dedication to work and contributions in giving ideas which aim to improve the Bahrain Olympic Committee march.

She recalled the noticeable development of women's sports in Bahrain which has made a lot of achievements for Bahrain sport in various international events, which affirms the efficiency and capability enjoyed by the Bahraini women.

Shaikha Hayat also noted that the Bahraini women have left a large footprint in the sports sector, thanks for the significant support from Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty King Hamad and President of the Supreme Council for Women.

The ceremony concluded with Shaikha Hayat providing souvenirs and gifts to the committee employees, which has had a noticeable impact on them, as they expressed sincere appreciation to the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and the BOC, both headed by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, whom they described as one of the most prominent supporters of women's sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
