This year’s edition of the Olympic Day is organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) as Bahrain joins other countries from around the world to celebrate this special occasion.

The gymnastics, martial arts, disabled sports and maritime sports associations have offered their assistance and contributions to make this year’s event a great success by organising various sports and entertainment activities on the day.

This was declared was head of sports shows of this year’s Olympic Day Hamad Al Baker, who said more sports associations are expected to join hands with the Bahrain Olympic Committee in holding the event again this year.

Al Baker said the gymnastics association will provide some of their athletes to make a special show during the day, while a karate show will be the contribution of the Bahrain Martial Arts Association.

Other activities to be staged include a wheelchair race performed by athletes from the Bahrain Disabled Sports Association, in addition to a sailing race involving four boats will be put on by the Bahrain Maritime Sports Association.

Moreover, the Ministry of Interior will also be taking part with 70 athletes in the running race, to be organized in cooperation with the Bahrain Athletics Association’s Bahrain Road Runners.
