(ATR) A year and a day after Tokyo 2020 was postponed due to the pandemic, the torch relay finally began with Covid-19 safety measures in place.
Members of Japan’s 2011 World Cup winning team were the first torchbearers on March 25 as the 121-day journey began. The Olympic Flame will visit all 47 of Japan's prefectures before arriving at the national stadium in Tokyo for the Opening Ceremony.
