RMA 2 - Elche 2:Points shared, as RMA play out a 2-2 draw at Santiago Bernabeu

RMA were held to 2-2 draw by Elche down on Sunday at Santiago Bernabeu. Both RMA and Elche arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. RMA were looking to pick up points, following a 2-1 victory against Athletic Bilbao whilst Elche were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Villarreal and Espanyol. As it stands, RMA and Elche currently occupy 1st and 15th spots in the league, with 50 points and 23 points respectively after 22 matches.

Elche started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to Lucas Boye giving Elche the lead just before half-time to see out the first half 0-1.

Elche took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Pere Milla at the 76 minute mark. However, RMA weren't lying down and managed to pull back a goal from Luka Modric, 82 minutes in. However they weren't finished yet and Eder Militao made it 2-2 just before the final whistle with a final score of 2-2.

Both managers used the full entitlement. For RMA, Luka Jovic, Rodrygo, Isco and Federico Valverde, came on for Karim Benzema, Toni Kroos, Eden Hazard and Lucas Vazquez, Elche brought on Fidel and Josan, to replace Tete Morente and Lucas Perez.

There were bookings for Eder Militao, Vinicius Junior and David Alaba from RMA. For Elche, Fidel saw yellow.

Elche and RMA will next play at home to Alaves and Granada respectively.
