Hellas Verona beats Bologna 2-1 on Friday at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi. Verona were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Bologna had lost their previous match against Napoli. As it stands, Verona are in 9th place, with 33 points from 23 matches, while Bologna sit in 13th, with 27 points from 23.

The Greyhounds started the first half well, with a goal from Riccardo Orsolini, 14 minutes in. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Gianluca Caprari equalised for The Yellow and Blues in the 38th minute, finalising the first half 1-1.

Verona rallied after this and were rewarded, thanks to Nikola Kalinic finding the net just before the final whistle. The game ended 2-1.

For Verona, Adrien Tameze, Kevin Lasagna, Nikola Kalinic, Daniel Bessa and Fabio Depaoli, came on for Miguel Veloso, Giovanni Simeone, Ivan Ilic, Gianluca Caprari and Darko Lazovic. Bologna brought on Emanuel Vignato, Ebenezer Annan, Marko Arnautovic and Diego Falcinelli for Nicolas Dominguez, Arthur Theate, Riccardo Orsolini and Aaron Hickey.

There were bookings for Giovanni Simeone and Koray Gunter from Verona, and Lukasz Skorupski, Luis Binks, Nicola Sansone and Aaron Hickey, for Bologna.

Verona will next play Juventus away, with Bologna facing Empoli at home.
