Wolfsburg failed to secure all three points in front of the home crowd against Hertha

Wolfsburg were held to 0-0 draw by Hertha down on Saturday at the Volkswagen Arena. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Wolfsburg were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 1-0 to Bochum. Hertha were beaten 3-1 in the previous match against FC Köln. As the table looks today, Wolfsburg and Hertha currently occupy 14th and 13th spots in the league, with 21 points and 22 points respectively after 19 matches.

Both managers used all available substitutions. For Wolfsburg, Aster Vranckx, Dodi Lukebakio and Felix Nmecha, came on for Renato Steffen, Luca Waldschmidt and Yannick Gerhardt, Hertha brought on Davie Selke, Dedryck Boyata and Lucas Tousart to replace Myziane Maolida, Jurgen Ekkelenkamp and Santiago Ascacibar.

There were bookings for Renato Steffen from Wolfsburg. For Hertha, Lukas Klunter saw yellow.

Wolfsburg will next play RB Leipzig away, with Hertha facing Bayern Munich at home.
